Easter

It’s the March Farmers and Craft Market at Cuerden Valley Park this Sunday and it’s also Easter Sunday.

I have made some more of the Easter baskets to sell on Sunday and have also made some cute little bunny boxes which are filled with small Easter Eggs. So if you haven’t got all your Easter eggs yet get yourself down to Cuerden on Sunday. The market opens at 10am until 2pm.

Last month my best sellers were my decorated boxes filled with tea lights. As it was the week before Mother’s Day I had used pastel pinks and blues for the boxes. I have to really brace myself not to make everything in purple – yes it is my favourite colour! I was absolutely mortified when someone asked me if I had a purple box. So I decided to right this wrong and here are two purple and one lilac boxes ready for this weekend!

My Dad and Kate were delighted with their Easter Card.

I would like to wish all my readers a very Happy Easter.

Card swap – February

The card swap for this month is Easter.

This one really threw me as I don’t normally send Easter cards so had absolutely no stamps that I could use.

A panic message to my friend Pam and she sent me a link to a card on Pinterest. A card made with the bird builder punch to make tulips.

Here’s my version which I sent to Julie.

As it was Julie’s birthday in February I also made her a birthday card. I just love these starburst cards, apparently they are supposed to be Christmas cards but I think they work really well as birthday cards – what do you think?

I was so pleased with it that I’ve made two more, one for my Mother-in-Law and the other for my Dad and his partner Kate.

The card I received from Sam is here and I absolutely love him, isn't he so cute. I love the way he stands up too. You can find more of Sam’s fantastic creations here

The card swap for next month is Planes, trains or automobiles, another one that is out of my comfort zone!

Card swap – January

In January I joined a card swap group. We are all Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and belong to the Pootlers craft team.

Only really one rule and that is we can only use current Stampin’ Up! products to produce our cards. This sometimes proves to be difficult for me as I haven’t been a demonstrator for long so don’t have a huge amount of SU products. I was a little bit nervous about joining the group for this reason but was assured by Toni that I would be fine.

Each month we are given a theme for the card and a person’s name, we then make a card and send it to this person. A different person will then make a card for you.

The theme for January was Valentines.

This is the card I made for Louise

This is the card the very talented Kathleen made for me. I absolutely love it. You can find more beautiful cards from Kathleen on her website Lilpypopcrafts.

Interestingly out of all the cards made there were no duplicates.

The theme for February is Easter so why not subscribe to my blog to find out what I made.

Mother's Day

It’s Mother’s Day in the UK on Sunday 6th March, so I hope you are spoiling your Mum or, if you are a Mum that you are being spoilt.

Unfortunately my Mum passed away nine years ago so I am unable to make her a card and as I don’t have any children I won’t be getting any cards either!

However it was a brilliant excuse to my make my lovely Mother-in-Law a Mother’s Day card. She loves owls so when I first saw the owl builder punch I knew it would be put to good use.

Here’s the card I made for her.
